Photos of a new smartphone from LG has been released on the Italian website Androidworld.it. The new smartphone said to be called the LG Optimus Pro is set to have a keyboard and will have a 2.8 inch display at 320 x 240 pixels. The smartphone is said to run on Android 2.3 and will have a 3.0 megapixel camera on board. Motorola Milestone 3: US-Launch 14th July

The third smartphone of the Motorola Milestone/Droid series is set to launch soon in the U.S. with Verizon announcing it to land soon on the 14th of July. As reported by Droid Life the device will come with a slide-out 5-row physical keyboard, dual-core processor, 16 GB internal memory and can take Full HD videos (1080 pixels). The New Xperia Ray to Land in Augest?

A few days ago Sony Ericsson surprised everyone with announcing two new Android smartphones that would launch to select markets around the world later supposedly this year.Although it is not yet clear what markets will get the two smartphones the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active and the Sony Ericsson Ray, one would assume that the smartphone would be landing in the U.S. and most parts of Europe. As reported by Phandroid, one UK retailer the Carphone Warehouse has said to customers the Xperia Ray is set to be released come Augest this year. HTC Thunderbolt gets Android 2.3

Since the release of the HTC Thunderbolt in the U.S. it has become fairly quiet out of the corner, with no further comments from HTC on further details of when the smartphone will be released in other places around the world. Now however HTC have come out and announced that the Thunderbolt will be recieving an update to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Those who do not live in the U.S. will have to continue to wait and see if the HTC Thunderbolt even makes it to markets outside the U.S. Perhaps even with Gingerbread installed on the launch version, we’ll just have to wait and see.Category: Android 2.3, Android Phones, HTC

Sony Ericsson Announce 2 New Smartphones

Sony Ericsson have announced over the course of today two new Android smartphones that will land around about the third quarter this year in select markets. The first of the two devices is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray which is set to have a 3.3 inch display with a resolution of 480 x854, a 1GHz processor and a 8.0 megapixel camera. The New HTC Tablet Unveiling on the 27.6?

Rumors of late have been indicating that on the 27th of June 2011 HTC will be unvieling a new Tablet of theirs at a press event. The new tablet so far known as the HTC Puccini is said to be a 10 inch Android tablet that will be running on Android 3.2 (Honeycomb). New 7 inch Tablet the Huawei MediaPad

Another brand has weighed in for the Android Tablet fight, with the Chinese company Huawei unvieling their very own Android Tablet aptly named the Huawei MediaPad. The Huawei MediaPad is a 7-inch Tablet with a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, a 5.0 rear-facing megapixel camera and a front facing 1.3 megapixel camera with the Tablet itself running on Honeycomb. Google Videos Available for Motorola Xoom

Motorola USA has posted on its Twitter page that Google Movies is now available to owners of the Motorola Xoom. The Google Video App can be downloaded for free from the Android Market. Video: Xperia X10 to get Android 2.3

A few months ago owners of the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini recieved some good news, with news that they would be recieving an upgrade to Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). Now it has been confirmed via their Facebook page and on their Blog with the update set to launch in August 2011. In addition there has been a video uploaded to YouTube (see below), showing the Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 running Gingerbread. Over the weekend photos of a yet to be announced Sony Ericsson smartphone leaked (see below), with some believing that this could be the first dual-core smartphone from the company. As reported by Phonearena, rumors are suggesting that the new device could have the name of Sony Ericsson Xperia duo, which could further point towards it being dual-core but that is complete speculation.
