More than 100,000 Apps in Android Market

Recently the number of available Android Apps has officailly reached the 100,000 mark. Of course this is still only less than half of the iPhone-Apps currently available, with there being approximatly 250,000 different Apps in the Apple Store. However the growth rates speak clearly for the Android operating system, over the last 6 months the Android Market has increased in size by about 100%. For the first time in three long years, Motorola was able to announce a profitable quarter. Around 2.5 million euros in operating profit alone was reported by the mobile arm.
