  • HTC Desire HD – why no update?

    16. August 2012 No comments

HTC Desire HDAn online platform published 13.000 signatures of disappointed HTC Desire HD users who waited in vain on an update to Android’s 4.0 version (Ice Cream Sandwich). According to the website AreaMobile, HTC made a statement concerning the reasons for the drawback of a newer version. So what’s the problem? HTC say that the HTC Desire HD’s system partition is too small in order to install a software without having to cancel a few very popular features. All in all there would have been a serious decrease in performance with Android’s Ice Cream Sandwich. And that really shouldn’t be the purpose, right?

  • Jelly Bean Update for Acer Tablets

    16. August 2012 No comments

Acer Iconia Tab A510Acer finally commented on the new Android update for its tablet fleet. Thereby, Acer will be updating to Android’s 4.1 version (Jelly Bean), the website Tablet-News reported. Acer’s statement however, was everything but eye-opening. They said there will be updates but didn’t give any hints as to any specific models. Yet, it’s more likely that the Acer Iconia Tab A510, the Acer Iconia Tab A700, and the Acer Iconia Tab A200 will receive an update to Android’s 4.1 version (Jelly Bean) first. The reason is that they’re simply the newer generation. On the other hand, the Acer Iconia Tab A500 and the Acer Iconia Tab A100 are less probable to be updated.
