  • Video Teaser of the new Samsung Galaxy Note 2

    Samsung Galaxy NoteMore and more rumors are spreading from the International Funkausstellung (IFA) in Berlin. Samsung, for example, released a video teaser of its Unpacked Event in Berlin, in which one supposedly sees new details about the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. The new device will most probably be presented officially at the event and rumors suggest that it will have a 5,5 inch display. The first Samsung Galaxy Note had a 5,3 inch display. Also featured in the video is German star director Wim Wenders. Samsung’s Unpacked Event took place on the 20th of August 2012.

  • Jet Set Radio by Sega to be released this summer

    SegaGame developer Sega released a post in its company blog stating that its gaming hit Jet Set Radio will be made available for Android devices this summer! The game was originally developed for the Sega DreamCast. In the role of a graffiti artist on a skateboard a player must mission around town adding art here and there without being caught by police or rival gangs. The game on Android is supposed to be exactly the same as the hit version on the DreamCast. Additionally, Jet Set Radio will feature a social media function provided by OpenFeint.

  • World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) App

    WWEThe world famous wrestling league WWE is now represented in the Google Play Store with its own Android app. The app offers news, fotos, and videos about the two main shows Monday Night RAW and Smackdown. Additionally, users are constantly informed about all WWE superstars, breaking news, social media news, and much more. The WWE app can be downloaded for free from the Google Play Store and soon will enter our selection of the best wrestling apps for Android.

  • Smart App update now in Google Play Store

    Google PlayA while ago we reported that Google was working on providing Smart App Updates for the Google Play Store. With these updates, it is no longer necessary to download an entire new app but only the missing new parts of it. This function is now online and significantly reduces the data transfer amount. The US website Android Police recently uploaded a video demonstration showing how the new feature can be used with the help of the PDF-app eZ PDF Reader.

    InstagramInstagram’s 3.0 version for Android was released a couple of days ago and bears some exciting new functions for smartphones and tablets with Google OS. The new foto-map eases the navigation of fotos. Also improved is the speed by which the app operates. Moreover, known bugs were eradicated.   • Tiny Victory for Samsung!

    Samsung Galaxy SSamsung landed a tiny victory in the trial with Apple. The US court decided not to proceed Apple’s motion of prohibition against Samsung’s international versions of the Samsung Galaxy S, the Samsung Galaxy S 2 and the Samsung Galaxy Ace. This was reported by the US website The Verge. Samsung claimed that none of the three devices had directly been on offer in the US market – neither through Samsung itself, nor through any affiliate company. The court found that this argument made a strong case in favor of Samsung. Apple’s arguments, on the other hand, had been judged as insufficient.

  • Pictures of the new Sony Xperia T

    Sony Xperia NXTSony has a new smartphone in the pipeline that was previously known as the Xperia Mint. The new phone will enter the market under the name Sony Xperia T. The Bulgarian website Nixanbal now published a number of pictures of the new smartphone. The Sony Xperia T will most probably be presented at the Internationale Funkausstellung (IFA) this year in Berlin. As the website Phandroid claims, the smartphone will feature a dual-core processor, a 4.3 inch display, 16GB of internal memory, 1 GB RAM, and a camera with 13 mega pixels.

    Google ÜbersetzerThe Google Translator app has been equipped with new functions thanks to an exciting new update. Users can now select the texts of fotos and hence have them translated directly by the app. The feature can be used on all Android smartphones and tables that at least have the version 2.3 (Gingerbread). Moreover, the app now recognizes several Japanese characters at the same time. The Google Translator app can be downloaded for free in the Google Play Store.     Bookatable restaurant & reservationSeveral features of Android’s Bookatable app have been improved by a recent update. Thereby, the app now benefits from better looks, an easier handling, more choice of restaurants, a quicker search engine, and a new map. This means that users may book a table in more than 9000 restaurants at the touch of a bottom. There are even Bookatable menus that are only on offer for Bookatable users. The app can be downloaded from the Google Play Store and is also part of our series of Best Restaurant Guide Apps.
