No Update to Android 2.2 (Froyo)
Poor Phone Call Voice Quality

When the third Android HTC Smartphone the HTC Hero was released it was at the time considered a high-quality Android device, which had received the complete range of equipment. The update to Android 2.1 (Eclair) brought a further performance boost to the table for the HTC Hero. However when Android 2.2 (Gingerbread) came around, the update to 2.2 never came. Thus buyers will have to deal with not having access to some functions Gingerbread brings such as saving apps to the SD card. But nevertheless the HTC Hero has a good quality Display (but if it had an AMOLED display it could have possibly been better) and is still a quality Smartphone though slightly dated.
