Questions started to circulate after the Mobile World Congress with HTC unveiling a whole range of new devices but staying relatively tight lipped about the new HTC Thunderbolt smartphone. When the Thunderbolt was originally announced it garnered lots of attention, with it set to be Verizon’s first smartphone with LTE. However over the last month or so, the device has been delayed and delayed. Now reports have surfaced on Engadget, that the LTE high-speed Internet connection is causing to much of a strain on the smartphones battery, causing it to run empty after 2-3 hours of use. Which would explain the delays. Engadget has also reported that HTC are working on a new firmware that will hopefully fix this problem soon.
