  • Sony Ericsson Announce 2 New Smartphones

    Sony EricssonSony Ericsson have announced over the course of today two new Android smartphones that will land around about the third quarter this year in select markets. The first of the two devices is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Ray which is set to have a 3.3 inch display with a resolution of 480 x854, a 1GHz processor and a 8.0 megapixel camera. The smartphone is set to run on Android 2.3 and for those interested there is a short teaser video for the smartphone below.

    The second smartphone is the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active which is intended to be an outdoor smartphone, with the phone being particularly resiliant to dirt and water much like the Motorola Defy. The Xperia Active is said to be a 110 gram device, running on Android 2.3 like with a 5.0 megapixel camera with a slightly smaller display of 3.0 inches with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels. Users will also have the ability to record in HD.

    Sony Ericsson though stating that both devices will land later this year have yet to announce an exact launch date and what markets these two new devices will land in. Below are two teaser videos of the two new upcoming smartphones from Sony Ericsson.
