For the first time in three long years, Motorola was able to announce a profitable quarter.  Around 2.5 million euros in operating profit alone was reported by the mobile arm. The company announced, during the third quarter of this year, they delivered nine million mobile phones, smartphones contributing about one-third of this number.

Android helped this once struggling company to be able to continue to be successful into the future. On the 07.11 the new Smartphone Defy is in Europe released and is expected to be as successful as the Milestone.
