The International Data Corporation predicts that there will be a large increase in the number of apps being downloaded in the future, up from 11 million this year in 2010 to 75 million downloads in 2014. As reported by the U.S. magazine Mashable. Whilst at the same time they predict sales will climb to 35 billion euros. Market researchers expect an acceleration in growth as apps become more compatible with more devices such as Tablets, TV’s with Internet and other future devices.

There are however others out there with the opinion like Co-CEO of Research in Motion( the developers of the Blackberry device), whom believe that apps are just a fad and will fade away in time.
