
In the “Dive into Mobile” conference, Andy Rubin made a small introduction to Android 3.0 (honeycomb). During the demonstration he used a prototype Motorola Motopad . The attending audience first saw a newly designed lock-screen. Andy Rubin then opened a new version of Google Maps, the new, showing off the new impressive 3D effects. Rubin explained to the users to a few more details about the improvements of Honeycomb, including a new display screen for the apps to launch a review of GMail. Android 3.0 (honeycomb) will be released in 2011, while the Motopad is currently set to be released in the 2nd Quarter of 2011.
