Amazon is serious about its further expansion into the mobile domain.  After having recently announced that later this year they will release an optimised version of its Android Tablet Ebook Reader called Kindle, now the race is on for new AppStore developer portals. Amazon are said to release their own portal splitting the revenue with Amazon to recieve 30% and the developers to recieve 70%. Amazon intended to charge app developers $99 to place their app onto the portal, but now registration is said to be free for now.
