Tweetdeck
Description It’s impossible to imagine the Internet without Facebook, Twitter, Myspace and the many other social networking sites. Almost everyone who uses the internet these days has at least one account on one of these sites, some use more than one of these to keep in touch with all of their freinds and work collegues. Wouldn’t it be so practical to have an app on your Android device that could keep track of all of these networks for you? Well Tweetdeck can do just that, be allowing users to stay up to date with their Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare and Buzz accounts simultaneously. Let’s have a closer look at it.
Functions & Design
After starting up the app for the first time you will be asked to login to the accounts you want to keep track of. Also one big plus is that users can manage multiple Twitter accounts over Tweetdeck. Afterwards users will come to their homescreen where it will show them all of the latest updates from the accounts they are following.
At the bottom of the screen there are four different buttons allowing the user to change their status, access there contacts, add feed columns or send geodata via Tweetdeck to one of their accounts. The first button on the left is used to update your status and to send messages to you friends. Users can also attach photos or geodata location data to status updates or messages.
The third button which has the plus sign is the tweetdeck feed button. Here you can find and order individual feeds. The last button is the geolocation button. Tweetdeck works in conjuction with Google Maps allowing you to check-in at different locations on Facebook and Foursquare whilst seeing other tweets and check-ins of your freinds close by you.
Through the settings menu users can decide how often they want Tweetdeck to update or they can choose to manually update it themselves. It is then possible to choose to recieve notifications when Tweetdeck updates, users can also decide to have their phone vibrate, a light flash or an alarm when it updates. Users can also choose between different font sizes.

Conclusion
Tweetdeck is easier to use than having to use several different apps for the different social networks your connected to. Tweetdeck is very intuitive and very useful, keeping you up to date on all the goings-on in one simple app. The app runs smoothly and we like the fact that the free version has no advertisements. Really, if you are connected to multiple social networks and you would like to keep up to date with them easily, Tweetdeck is just such a useful app to have on your Android device. You really carn’t go wrong with giving it a go as it’s free to download from the Android Market.
