Foursquare is the popular social game, that lets you keep track of were your friends are while being rewarded for checking in at different places around town. Functions & Design

When starting up the application the user will be prompted to create a Foursquare account. After signing up the user will find themselves on their homepage, where they will find where all of the friends have recently checked-in, in addition to when.  Then from there the user can jump right in and use the app to explore their town or city. The user as stated before can check-in at different places around the city or town they are in and be rewarded for it. When checking into a location the most you will become the “Mayor” of that particular place. Depending on the buisness, users who become “Mayor” of that location may get a discount. Also if the user likes a particular restaurant or bar they have checked in at they can leave a tip or recommendation for their friends.

Foursquare is an easy to use application that encourages you to go out and explore the city or town you live in while at the same time keeping track of what your friends are up to. It is a great way to find recommendations of good places to hang out or eat from friends and the app is free to download from the Android Market.
