    SilverEditDescription

As time goes on, developers are creating more and more features for our smartphones, giving us more tools to work with in everyday life. Smartphones can be used from being an alarm clock, to keeping track of our finances, help us translate a menu or help us find a nice restaurant closeby. Now developers have added to the list by delivering a application that can help people make HTML changes to a wesbite via their smartphone or tablet. This particular Android app is called SilverEdit, lets have a closer look at.

    Functions & Design

After SilverEdit starts, the user will have to choose whether to create a new Web document or edit an existing one. If opting to create a new one the user will then have to choose the file type from .html, .css, .php, .xml and .txt. Also if choosing to edit an existing document the previous file types are the only types that can be edited in SilverEdit.

Aterwards the user will find himself in a editor screen, which is a large window screen with the relevant code within. At the bottom of the screen is the keyboard and at the top of the screen there are several buttons which can be used to create tags quickly.

Unfortunately, so far there is no way to highlight tags in this version. But we would say since most users would be primarily use this app for making minor changes to Web documents on the go, this isn’t a really big deal. Though it would be nice if this feature were added in the future.

    Conclusion

Those who think that SilverEdit is a fully fledged HTML editor would sadly be mistaken. Though as previously stated it is useful for making minor changes, the app has very few features and provides users with only the barest of necessities. But if your only planning on making small changes this app is great. SilverEdit is now available free to download from the Android Market. We tested SilverEdit in version 2.1.
