Although the standard Google web browser on Android devices is enough for most people, wouldn’t it be nice to personalize your browser’s home page a little more. One such app that can help with this is the My Home Page app. This app works in conjuction with the Android browser or the Dolphin Browser HD and replaces your home screen with all your bookmarks making it so much easier to go to all of you favourite websites.
Design & functions
My Home Page does as said above, it replaces your web home page with a list of all of your bookmarks. For those of you out there who have huge amount of bookmarks, might think this may become a little overwhelming, but My Home Page provides a folder system with a unlimited number of levels.
There are also a few personalization options available to the user to adjust font size, background colour and of course how the folders themselves are organized.
Those of you out there who have root access on your smartphones will be able to instantly change your home page to the My Home Page setup. Others will have to take a few extra steps to get there, but dont worry the app itself will give you clear instructions on how to change your home page.
My Home Page is currently the only app in the Android Market that allows users to customize their browser home page. There are other apps though with similar functions, for instance some apps list all of your bookmarks and you simply open the app itself to access the list. Now it really just comes down to taste, what you prefer really. But nevertheless My Home Page does what it’s set out to do, replacing your home page with links to all your favourite websites and if you like the idea, we strongly recommend you give this app a try.
