As days go on people are able to do more and more things with their Smartphones. But wouldn’t it be great to keep track of all of your finances from your smartphone as well. With all of these other apps on the Market surely there is a good app out there that can help me keep a closer eye on my money? Well there is and one these apps is Financisto. Lets have a closer look at it.

Functions & Design

First the user must create a profile and enter their account information so they can perform transactions. Apart from giving the account a name, the user will have to specifiy the currency they use and the starting balance of the account (positive or negative). Also there is a sorting feature they can use to determine where this paticular account will be within the profile list.

Once the account has been saved to their profile they will be redirected to the overview screen were they will see all of the newly added accounts together with a balance. At the top of the screen there is four tabs, accounts, blotter, budgets and reports, with accounts being the screen you are currently on.

Under the Blotter tab all of the financial transactions the user has made will be displayed, making it easy to follow what went where. The Budget tab is where the user can set himself a budget and keep track of how he’s going. Whereas the Reports tab is where the user can find detailed financial reports of the different transactions he’s made through various filters.

Pressing the option key on your Android smartphone will also bring up an additional menu. Through this menu the user will find a backup feature, where they can store their data onto their SD card or onto their Google Docs account. Also they can change the set language, activate pin protection or add a widget. There is also a Scheduled button on the menu bar, which allows users to keep track or add scheduled transactions, deciding how much is to be transfered and how often.

Conclusion

Financisto is a big app, with alot of different settings and features to help optimise the users experience. We have only really gone over the tip of the iceberg as an overview. Anyone who is looking for an application that will help them keep track of their finances cannot go wrong with this application. Financisto has everything you could want from a financial app, despite its huge variety of options it stays intuitive to use. It can take a little time to get everything fine tuned the way you want, but in the end it’s well worth it.
