MailDroid
DescriptionThere are plenty of people out there who just use the default Email program on their Android devices, which is fine but there are plenty of alternatives out there that are better. However MailDroid is probably the best Email application on the Android Market at the moment, why? Well lets have a look then.
Functions & Design
Upon accessing MailDroid the user will be prompted to add his or her Email addresse/s. The setup process is very simple and afterwards the user will be redirected to his account menu, where he will see all of the Email addresses he has connected to Maildroid.
MailDroid obviously has all the basic features one would expect from an Email app such as including attachments to Emails, share recipients in CC and sending and recieving Emails. All of this is done very briskly as MailDroid is one of the fastest Email apps that is available on Android devices. However it does have a few shortcomings, at the moment the developers are yet to let users gain access to their address books of their Email addresses, so if you want to send an Email to someone your going to have to remember the Email address itself. But hopefully this will be added in the future.
Apart from its basic features, it MailDroid also allows users to store attachments from Emails directly onto their SD card as well as being able to set up their own signatures or recipient groups. Sadly there are advertisement banners in MailDroid, it is understandable and its not a big thing, but its always better when they arn’t there. But apart from that scheduled Email retrievel, personalized alerts, password protection and MS Exchange are just some of the many good features included in this great app.

ConclusionAs we said at the start MailDroid is probably the best Email application for Android at the moment. Though saying that there are other Email apps that are right up there with it, we would have to say MailDroid is that little bit stronger. The current version has plenty of nifty features, throw in its great speed and the fact you can add as many Email addresses you want (though not that many people will need this feature) you really do have one great Email app. Though in saying it would be great if the developers added access to the address books from the different Email accounts. Hopefully they will fix this issue in the future.
