If you are reading this and have not heard of The Sims before, then you must have been living under a rock for the last 10 years, as The Sims series has been for the last decade one of the most dominating Game Titles out there. The original game itself The Sims has so far sold more than 6.3 million copies worldwide making it the best-selling PC game in history. In The Sims series the player takes control of a “Sim” a virtual person, and guide them through their day to day life. The player also will have to build his Sims house, go out and meet new friends and keep his career on path. Now EA Mobile have finally brought the Sims to Android. Lets have a look whether Sims 3 app on Android is a worthy addition to the series.

Functions & Design

Anyone who has ever played a Sims game, will immediately feel at home on the Android version. First up, the player will be prompted to create their Sim, by determining his appearance and behaviour. Of course the variety of options used to customize your Sim is not as large as the PC-version but it still has enough options for everyone.

Once you have created your Sim, you will realize if you have played the PC version that the control are very similar. The gameplay is broken up again and agin with little mini games, much the same way as the PC-version. Playing the Sims is much the same experience on the touchscreen but it still lacks a little luster the original had.

Conclusion

A few hours in and players who have played the PC-version well notice that the developers have done a good job transferring the Sims over to the Android world. There are still plenty of things of little options that didn’t get transferred over but there is still lots of fun to be had in the Android version. Overall it is great start to Sims on Android Devices and hopefully EA Mobile can continue to build on the strong base they’ve created thus far.The Sims 3 app was tested in version 1.0.15.
