Tetris
DescriptionThis game doesn’t really have to be introduced at all. This classic game was released back in 1984 and has since has been remade for nearly every computer operating system and gaming console out there (one of the most popular versions of Tetris was released for the classic Nintendo Game Boy). Millions of people worldwide have played this game over the years and it still continues to go strong. As Tetris has now been imported to Android, lets see if the new Android version can stand tall and be accounted for.
Functions & Design
For those of you who have somehow never played Tetris before, here is a brief explanation. As the game starts, a series of blocks of various shapes and colours will slowly fall down the screen. The point is to order them properly so that there are no spaces between, like building a building trying not to get holes in it. To do this as the blocks fall down the screen the player will have to rotate and place the pieces so that there are no gaps. if done correctly in the player gets a complete line of blocks there will disappear and the lines of blocks above will move down giving the player more space. Over time the blocks will start to fall faster making it harder to order the blocks into complete rows. And if the blocks build up to much and reach the top of the screen, the game is over.
Tetris makes the leap into the world of Android pretty well, and works well with the touch-screen. While testing the game out on the touch-screen there were times when it didn’t react properly to our touch commands, but they didn’t occur to often. With practice users can get use to the control verry easy and as usual it can get very addictive.

Conclusion
Apart from a few minor control issues, EA Mobile did a good job in adapting such a classic game with the Android Touch-screen. Its great to see that after all these years Tetris still has not lost any of its magic and we can assure you the Android version will keep many people entertained for quite a few hours. We tested the Tetris version 0.0.25.
