Replica Island throws you onto a mysterious Island where Professor Kabochanomizu has built you a green robot, with rocket powered feet, so you can venture out and find a mysterious artifact on Replica Island. It is a classic Android platformer game, lets have a closer look.
Functions & Design
As said previously Replica Island is a classic jump and run platform game. Whoever has adventured with Super Mario, Sonic, Banjo & Kazooie or Donkey Kong in the past will be easily equipped for Replica Island.
You must use your Android rocket feet and special powers to navigate through the 40 levels that make up Replica Island. The touchscreen controls demonstrated through a tutorial at the start of the game, are generally responsive though perhaps could be improved upon. But once the player is used to the controls making the perfectly timed leaps and attacks becomes much easier.
After the player has completed a level he is able to go back and play it again if he wishes to find all the hidden secrets. Also there are three possible different endings the player may achieve. There are also various diffulty levels and control options to help fine tune your experience. And for those out there short of space on their Android device, Replica Island can also be saved onto the players SD card.
Replica Island is already a classic Android game, and can be downloaded from the Android Market. There has been a has been a recent update, which as requested by fans has brough new control options and the ability to place Replica Island on the SD card. Replica Island is a fun platforming game, for core and casual gamers alike. We tested Replica Island version 1.4.
