The lives of the Angry Birds are in your hands as you use the different birds to get back at the greedy pigs that stole the birds eggs. Developed by the Finnish software company Rovio, Angry Birds has been a huge hit across all mobile platforms, being downloaded more than 7 million times on Android alone. It’s high time we took a closer look at what all the fuss has been about.
Functions & Design
As stated before, the Angry Birds have to get the greedy pigs back, so each level the pigs have constructed a fortress you will have to break through strategically to get at the pigs. On each level you are given a limited number of birds to throw using the slingshot to get rid of all the pigs on the level whilst working around or through their fortress. You will have to get the angle’s just right with the touchscreen controls for the slingshot to get the highest score. Upon finishing a level the player will recieve a star rating and score, before being able to continue onto the next level.
There are several different birds with different abilities as you progress through Angry Birds, each being used in different ways to get through the pigs fortresses. It will gradually get more and more difficult and you will have to really use your brain in the later levels or just get lucky. There are 225 levels that well put your brain to the test.
Angry Birds is a very addicting game, that will have many a player spending hours on end testing themselves against the pigs. The puzzles will continue to get trickier and trickier but never become impossible thus always allowing players to make some progress to the end of the tunnel.
